Training Needs Analysis

Excellent people performance is essential if an organisation to achieve its business goals. A Training Needs Analysis (TNA) is an essential precursor to high quality training delivery.

Conducting a TNA either, to define a new training requirement or re-align existing training, provides assurance that training is optimally aligned to business objectives.

RTI's TNA approach delivers a comprehensive and auditable specification of training needs.

We are able to advise on "best practice" application of a variety of techniques, and our experience extends over many different areas of training and development activity within the rail industry.

RTI's expertise is recognised at the highest levels and includes research for the UK RSSB and the provision of expert witness evidence on the quality of training and competence management systems.

A significant application of the TNA approach has been to demonstrate the most effective areas in which to apply computer based delivery and Simulation within existing Driver Training Programmes.

TNA is also a key element in RTIs approach to developing Competence Management Systems, providing a key process in continuous improvement of training performance.
